Four Rapids teams made the trip to London this weekend and every one of them came home with something to show for it. From a bronze-medal finish for the U18 boys to gold for the U15 girls, here’s how the club fared across the draw.
The U18 boys finished 3rd, battling through a tough semifinal before closing out the bronze-medal match in straight sets. The U15 girls were the story of the weekend, going undefeated to capture gold, while the U15 girls’ second squad brought home silver from the provincial stream.
“This is what a full club weekend looks like,” said the club’s technical director. “Every age group competing, supporting each other, and representing the Rapids the right way.”
The U13 boys gained valuable experience against older competition at the Canuck Stuff Cup, and the U17 girls advanced to championship Sunday after a pair of clutch three-set wins. A great weekend of volleyball across the board.
